Bios

• Tana

  Ms. Tana holds a Bachelor of Science degree from SDSU and is the proud parent of two young children—both of whom have been nurtured and guided by the professional teachers here at The Goddard School. Her journey with Goddard began as a parent, where she experienced firsthand the safe, nurturing, and fun environment that fosters a lifelong love of learning. Inspired by the positive impact on her own family, Ms. Tana followed her passion for education and opened her own Goddard School. She is grateful for the opportunity to provide the same supportive and enriching experience to other families in the community.

• Angel

  Ms. Angel holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus in Marketing and brings over a decade of experience in Early Childhood Education, including 8 years with The Goddard School. She is passionate about the belief that high-quality early childhood education lays the foundation for a child’s lifelong success. Outside of school, Ms. Angel enjoys spending time with her three children, who keep her busy with sports and extracurricular activities. In her free time, she loves to travel, listen to music, and write.

• Claire

  Ms. Claire has been part of The Goddard School family for 7 years and is currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. Known for her creativity, she loves planning engaging activities for children across all classrooms. Outside of school, Ms. Claire leads a busy and adventurous life with her two children, dogs and horses. She also trains wild mustangs—a true passion of hers. When she isn’t on the farm, she enjoys hiking, attending rodeos, and spending time with her family.

• Alissa

  Miss Alissa is our Two's Lead Teacher in the Dolphin classroom. She enjoys watching the kids learn something new every day. Her favorite activity to do with the kids are art projects. Miss Alissa is currently in her first year of college pursuing her bachelor's degree in education. In her free time, she loves to go on walks and crafting.

• Merlyn

  Ms. Merlyn is one of our Preschool I Lead Teachers in the Giraffe classroom. She has 3 years of Early Childhood Education experience with the Goddard School. She is working hard to obtain her CDA's. Ms. Merlyn loves to make creative lesson plans that assist with the children's curiosity and growth. She also enjoys making her decor come to life in her classroom!

• Niki

  Ms. Niki is one of our Lead PreK Teachers in the Tiger classroom. She has eight years of experience teaching Early Childhood Education and enjoys witnessing the kids reach different milestones. She completed her Associate's Degree at Ivy Tech and is currently enrolled at Ball State University working on her Marketing Degree with a Minor in Anthropology. In her free time, Ms. Niki loves going to concerts and taking her dog to the dog park.

• Selene

  Ms. Selene is one of our Lead Preschool Teachers in the Giraffe classroom. She has been working in Early Childhood Education for over six years. Her favorite activity to do with the children is art projects. Ms. Selene enjoys spending her free time with her 2 daughters and 2 sons. She loves her cats, listening to music, and she loves to clean and organize.

• Tammy

  Ms. Tammy brings over nine years of experience in Early Childhood Education to the Meerkat Classroom. She loves working with infants and especially enjoys watching them grow and reach new milestones. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Tammy treasures time with her family, including her two daughters, one son, and four grandchildren. Her favorite season is football season, when she enjoys cheering on her teams and spending time with loved ones.

• Tanesha

  Miss Tanesha is our Get Set Lead Teacher in the Bear classroom. She has obtained her CDA's and has over 11 years of Early Childhood Education. One of her favorite activities to do with the children is sensory activities. She loves to watch them explore and grow. In her free time, Miss Tanesha enjoys listening to music to help her relax as well as spending time with her son.

• Tara

  Ms. Tara has over a decade of experience in Early Childhood Education, serving as both a teacher and an Assistant Director, with most of those years spent at The Goddard School. She loves working with infants and especially enjoys watching their personalities emerge and develop. Originally from New Orleans, Ms. Tara is a proud mom of three daughters and two sons. In her free time, she enjoys crafting and spending time with her family.

• Asya

  Ms. Asya is our Get Set Assistant Teacher in the Bear classroom. She has been with the Goddard School since 2022 where she began her Early Childhood Education journey as a floater. She loves working with children because it brings out her own inner child! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends.

• Brigitte

  Ms. Brigitte is one of our Two's Lead Teachers in the Sealion classroom. She currently holds her Infant/Toddler CDA's and has close to 10 years experience in Early Childhood Education. She loves to get to know each of her kids and watching them grow. You will always hear music coming from her classroom. In her free time, Ms. Brigitte loves to spend time with her friends and family!

• Destiny

  Ms. Destiny is one of our Two's Assistant Teachers in the Sealion classroom. She has four years of experience in Early Childhood Education and holds her Infant/Toddler CDA's. She is also currently working on her Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education. She loves building bonds with her kids and having the opportunity to watch them grow. Her favorite activities with the children are the creative art projects. She has two young boys who also attend Goddard School. In her free time, Ms. Destiny likes to read, shop, and travel.

• Heather

  Miss Heather is our Preschool II Assistant Teacher in the Cheetah classroom. She has been working with children for over 25 years. Her favorite part about working with children is the excitement in their faces when they have accomplished something new. Her favorite activity with the children is reading time. In her free time, Miss Heather loves to care for her animals and read.

• Nicole

  Miss Nicole is one of Toddler Assistants in the Kangaroo classroom. She loves watching the children grow and reach different milestones. In her free time, Miss Nicole enjoys spending time with her family and friends!

• Shaneika

  Miss Shaneika is our PreK Assistant Teacher in the Tiger classroom. She started her Early Childhood Education experience with us in early 2025. She recently enrolled at Ivy Tech to pursue her associate's degree in ECE with the goal of becoming a Lead Teacher. Miss Shaneika loves watching the children's faces light up when they discover something new. She is also very creative and enjoys coming up with fun art projects. In her free time, Miss Shaneika loves to read, cook, and exploring new hobbies!

• Taylor

  Miss Taylor is our Two's Assistant Teacher in the Dolphin classroom. She has been babysitting for family and friends for over 10 years. She enjoys building a connection with both the children and parents. In her free time, Miss Taylor loves to play basketball!

• Veronica

  Miss Veronica is our First Steps Assistant Teacher in the Zebra classroom. She has been working with children since 2021 and enjoys watching them grow. Miss Veronica recently moved to Indiana from New Jersey. In her free time, she enjoys writing and drawing.

• Mary

  Miss Mary started her Early Childhood Education experience with us in 2024. She is one of our floaters that enjoys helping out with all age groups. She is in her third year of college and is working on her Bachelors in Elementary Education. Her favorite activities to do with the children include art projects and getting messy in the sensory table! In her free time, Miss Mary loves to hike, ski, and explore the city. She also loves to dance and was a competitive dancer for 15 years!

• Sarah

  Ms. Sarah is one of our infant/toddler Floaters. She is currently in school and working on her degree. Her favorite part of working with children is reading to them or finding a fun craft to do with the whole class. Outside of the school, she is interested in spending time with her family and going to the gym.

• Shelby

  Ms. Shelby is our Chef Manager and brings over 10 years of experience in the culinary field. She holds a Culinary Arts Diploma and is passionate about preparing healthy, delicious meals for our students each day. Originally from Indianapolis, she enjoys running, reading, and a little online shopping in her free time. Shelby’s favorite part about working with children is their unpredictable and silly nature, which always keeps her smiling.
