Dr. Bachhawat received a bachelor of medicine bachelor of surgery (MBBS) degree from Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College, Ajmer, India. She completed an internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, Bronx VA Medical Center, New York.
